| I created a new thumbnail file and checked Diag.log immediately after it finished. I didn't do anything in VTM after it finished creating the thumbnails.
All I have are two lines: 06:42:31 AM
Process started. Perhaps this is a clue: I have two monitors. The second monitor is configured as extended desktop, and I have Theater Mode enabled so that videos play in full screen on the second monitor. When I create a thumbnail page, the second monitor displays the thumbnail frames as VTM works. I've already played with disabling Theater Mode, disabling the second monitor entirely, and also reducing the resolution on my main display (it is usually set to 1920 x 1200). None of the changes had any effect on the problem.

| Preview shows same result as actual thumbnails: I see the details when I select top right or bottom right, but I don't see the details when I select top left or bottom left.

| The blank space at the top (or bottom) of the preview grows or shrinks as I add or remove detail items. If I uncheck everything, the blank space shrinks to almost nothing (just a bit bigger than if I uncheck details). The extra space remains the same when I change between left and right detail positions. It looks like VTM is calculating the extra space needed for the details properly, it just doesn't draw the details when I select left positions.

| Don't go crazy over this. I'd prefer to have the details on the left, but putting them on the right gets the job done. I think you'd have more posts about this if it was effecting a lot of people, so it's probably just something odd about my system. I'm already inclined to make a donation just because of the attention you have given me. Added (2009-08-14, 7:22 Am)

| I tried about a half-dozen other fonts. Same results. I also tried changing font size, and that makes extra space grow or shrink as needed to accomodate bigger/smaller fonts. I also tested each font in top right position, and they all displayed properly when positioned on the right.
